Financial help for homeowners The old adage, that nothing is for free goes out the door with this program. The government has structed financing help that is really working. It can be utilized by many home owners. It just takes a few minutes to find out if you are elgible. The program offers two options for homeowners to help reduce their monthly payments: Refinancing Borrowers requalify for a new loan at historic rates. For home owners who pay their mortgages on time but are not able to refinance to take advantage of today’s lower mortgage rates perhaps due to a decrease in the value of their home. A Home Affordable Refinance will help borrowers whose loans are held by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac refinance into a more affordable mortgage. Home loan modification Borrowers with reduced income or hardship can refinance that would otherwise not qualify. Borrowers still need to be able to demonstrate a steady source of income. Many homeowners are struggling to make their monthly mortgage payments perhaps because their interest rate has increased or they have less income.
